Professional – Alig and Company is a law firm providing various law services in the Supreme Court of India, the main founder, and leader of this esteemed organization is Mr. Bahar U. Barqi, is L.L.M. from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in July 1985 vide Enrolment No.

D-197/85. He is also executive member of India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi, India.

  • With M/s Suri & Associates dealing in Insurance cases exclusively from October 1985 to August 1986.
  • With M/s Sukhija & Associates dealing in Bank matters and A senior Panel Lawyers of Syndicate Bank from September 1986 to March 1988.
  • With M/s Chandhyok & Associates, A Senior Panel Lawyer of Punjab and Sind bank from April 1988 to September 1988.
  • Assisted Honourable Mr. K. Parasaran, the then-Attorney General for India in the Bhopal Gas Leak Disaster case decided by the Honourable Supreme Court of India, 1989.
  • With Mr. Gopal Subramaniam, Sr. Advocate, former solicitor general of India from October 1988 to 1990 at present Additional Solicitor General of India.
  • Formed a Law firm in 1991 and practiced independently since then in the Supreme Court and High Court of Delhi.

  • Before Honourable Mr. Justice M.M. Librehan, Retd. Chief Justice of Tamil Nadu High Court/Andhra Pradesh High Court, appointed by the Government of India on the event of 6th December, 1992.
  • Before Honourable High Court for restoring Z-Category Security for Mr. Kalyan Singh, Former C.M. U.P., withdrawn by P.M. Atal Behari Vajpayee.
  • Before Honourable Delhi High Court as a Special Counsel for U.P. Govt. opposing bail application of Sakshi Maharaj, the then Sitting M.P. in well-known rape case.
  • Represented and assisted on behalf of KARSAN to Swiss Monacan and Dutch Lawyers (All Europeans) in famous Urea Scam Case.
  • Before The Honourable Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court for successfully implicating D.C.P. and S.H.O., Delhi Police U/s 302 I.P.C.
  • Before Honourable Supreme Court for declaring Taj Mahal as Wakf Property.
  • Before Honourable Supreme Court on behalf of A.M.U. Old Boys Association for restoration of Minority character of Aligarh Muslim University.
  • Have got changed towards new dimensions of public premises act by obtaining an order Life Insurance Corporation of India.
  • Have got a landmark order relating conduct of DNA test against former Cabinet minister, Chief minister of UP/Uttarakhand.
  • Appeared before various European Courts such as Switzerland supreme court- Lozan, Geneva. Amsterdam, Nice (France) and Monaco.

Attended by Cabinet Minister, former Cabinet Ministers, Chairperson of Nation Minority Commission, members of Parliament and hundreds of Human Right Activists.
